'High School Musical' star Vanessa Hudgens has become embroiled in an internet photo scandal after a naked picture of her circulated on the internet.

Hugdens' rep confirmed that the photo is a genuine photograph of the 18 year old star.

The photo of Hudgens was posted on celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton's website, who claimed that he thought it was a fake.

However, Hugdens representative has confirmed to Usmagazine.com that, "This was a photo which was taken privately.  It is a personal matter and it is unfortunate that this has become public."
